We are pleased to announce Kazumi Kato solo exhibition 'Kikoe no Mimi' (to hear) from November 27th to December 12th.
Throughout her career, Kato has been trying to pursue her artistic expression using various ways such as drawing, painting, sculpturing and so on.
This exhibition will consist of drawings and sculptures under the theme of ears.
She thinks that ears are the entrance of the words, and the point of contact between the society and herself.
Rich colors and strong lines show her feelings from the words in her everyday life.
For drawings, my theme is to hear.
Ears are the doors to word.
Words are the base of my relationship with the society and existence.
I hear sounds, words, anxiety, quietness and slight changes in the air, those are what I would like to express with me eyes and hands.
