We are pleased to announce the solo exhibition by Yuki Watanabe from September 15th to October 3rd.
She was born in 1982, Okayama prefecture. After graduating from Tokyo Polytechnic University, she has been active in the field of photography including won the Grand Prize at New Cosmos of Photography 2006(co-work with Mika Kitamura), and the participation at TOKYO PHOTO. This exhibition is consisted her works UCHIUMI. In a series of Photographs made her hometown, Inland sea of Japan. Watanabe captured a calm wave, slight light after the sunset，night town light of Inland sea of Japan in the ship which connects mainland and Shikoku. Image of UCHIUMI taken by slow shatter lost sensations of time and place and let viewer make the feeling that there is over a wave. In this exhibition, we exhibit her selected over 10 pieces created in 2009 – 2014. We are looking forward to seeing you. |
